Nature inspired ceramics from Tipperary.

Pottering Pieces are inspired by nature and each piece is unique.

THE GOODS
Created with love and care in Tipperary.
The journey to this point began 6 years ago when I made my first piece of ceramics. Since then I have learned a lot about working with clay and have enjoyed the journey of learning and discovering its possibilities.
I make one-off framed pieces which are inspired by nature and in particular the bog near to our home. All items are 100% hand built, each piece is individually made. The framed pieces make these ideal gifts for every occasion.
I hope that you enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. I am committed to giving the profits from these pieces to support charities in Kenya and in Ireland. (see below)

I have three different collections available for you to choose from:
- Bog Inspired Pieces
- Floral pieces
- House
ABOUT US
Bog Inspired Pieces
These framed pieces are inspired by the bog, and in each piece I’ve tried to capture the texture, colour and atmosphere of the bog and its’ plants in the different seasons.
The pieces are made using clay, oxides and glass to give the feel and texture of the Bog. They are ‘earthy’ and unique pieces.
Flower Inspired
In the bog the seasons bring the different colours and textures of the bog to life. In the spring are the gorses and the emerging orchids. The colours move from yellow to purple and in autumn the heathers come to life.
The framed pieces emphasise the texture of the plants and flowers. The colour is suggested through the use of oxides and some underglaze.
House
The final section are the house pieces which focus on the villages and houses in the countryside. The house pieces represent the streetscapes and the homes of families and people.

Supporting others:
Over the past few years making these pieces has helped me to donate the profits to others. For the next period the profits that are made will be given to charity (see below). I commit to giving the details of all donations on this site and on the pottering pieces facebook page.
